Football: Basaksehir make no mistake, keep 6 point lead

League leaders defeat Konyaspor 2-0 to increase points total to 61 with seven weeks to go in Super Lig

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish league leaders Medipol Basaksehir mantained six point lead at top with Sunday's 2-0 victory against Atiker Konyaspor.

Basaksehir got the home win thanks to second half goals scored by Brazilian midfielder Marcio Mossoro and Bosnian star Edin Visca.

Visca is spending a superb season at Basaksehir, producing 11 goals and 12 assists in 27 league appearances.

With 11 goals, Visca is the top scorer for Basaksehir.

Following to the win over Konyaspor, leaders Basaksehir increased the point gap to six against Galatasaray, who defeated Yeni Malatyaspor 3-0 on Saturday.

Basaksehir currently have 61 points in the league with seven weeks to spare but they will be hosted by Besiktas at Vodafone Park next week.
