Football: Basaksehir stronger on top of Turkish league
Medipol Basaksehir beat Ankaragucu 1-0 in away game

ISTANBUL (AA) - Medipol Basaksehir strengthened their position on the top of Turkish football league with 33 points after the rivals Galatasaray, Besiktas and Kasimpasa all dropped points.
In the Week 15 of Turkey's Spor Toto Super Lig, Besiktas drew Aytemiz Alanyaspor 0-0 while Galatasaray drew Caykur Rizespor 2-2.
Istanbul's Medipol Basaksehir led the league with 33 points, followed by Kasimpasa and Antalyaspor with 26 points each. Besiktas come fourth with 25 points, Yeni Malatyaspor is at the fifth place, Trabzonspor came sixth and reigning champions Galatasaray, the 'Lions', come seventh with the same points each.
Fenerbahce was defeated by Akhisarspor 3-0 in an away match. The 'Yellow Canaries' were desperate for a win to stay close to league's top.
Currently, Fenerbahce with 14 points stayed in 17th place in the league -- 19 points away from the top of the league.
On Monday, leading Medipol Basaksehir beat MKE Ankaragucu 1-0 in an away game in Ankara.
