ISTANBUL (AA) - Bayer Leverkusen parted ways with Dutch manager Peter Bosz over "continuing negative results in recent weeks," the German football side announced on Tuesday.
Two assistant coaches Hendrie Kruzen and Rob Maas plus fitness coach Terry Peters will also leave the club, the statement said.
The successor to Bosz as head coach is Hannes Wolf till the end of the current season.
"I'm very happy about the confidence shown in me. Bayer 04 are not just any old club for me. Leverkusen has for many years been one of the most attractive clubs in German football," Wolf said.
"There is great ambition here and a very talented, exciting team. We have every opportunity of qualifying for Europe. It's down to us in the remaining eight games to achieve the maximum for Bayer 04 Leverkusen."
Wolf, 39, joined the club from the German Football Association where he was working as the U18 coach.
Last week, Bayer Leverkusen lost to Hertha Berlin 3-0, and are currently in the sixth spot with 11 wins and eight defeats, having 40 points.
