22-year-old Brazilian winger moves to Russian club on a five-year contract

ANKARA (AA)- Russian football team Zenit St. Petersburg confirmed the signing of former Barcelona winger Malcom on Friday.

The 22-year-old Brazilian winger will be tied to the Russian club until the 30th of June 2024.

"Welcome to St. Petersburg Malcom, we can’t wait to see you out on the Zenit wing!," the club said in a statement on their website.

Zenit will pay €40 million ($44 million) plus €5 million ($5.5 million) in bonuses to Barcelona for Malcom, the Russian club announced.

In his career, Malcom played for Corinthians, Bordeaux and lastly Barcelona.

He produced four goals and two assists in 24 appearances for Barça last season.
