Football: PSG sign Zenit midfielder Paredes

ISTANBUL (AA) - Paris St-Germain (PSG) have signed Argentinian midfielder Leandro Paredes from Russian club Zenit, the French club said in a statement.

The 24-year-old Paredes signed a deal for PSG until June 2023.

"I am very happy to finally be here in Paris. I am very excited by the prospect of playing for Paris Saint-Germain. It's a big club. The squad is excellent and has big ambitions and the coach also wanted me to sign. All of that helped me make my choice," he said.

Paredes had been playing for Russia's Zenit since 2017 after playing for Boca Juniors, Chievo, Roma and Empoli.

He scored 4 goals in the current season.
