Football: Turkish Cup to hear semifinalists this week

ISTANBUL (AA) - The teams to be qualified as the semifinalists in the Turkish Cup football tournament will be named this week.

The second leg matches of Turkish Cup quarterfinals will start on Tuesday as Trabzonspor will face Umraniyespor in an away match in Istanbul.

The sides drew 0-0 in the first leg match in Trabzon of Black Sea region.

The second leg matches will run through Thursday.

On Wednesday, Galatasaray will face Hatayspor at home in Istanbul after beating its rival 2-0 in an away match in the first leg.

In an away match, Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor that beat Goztepe 1-0 in the first leg will play against its rival on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Akhisar will face Kasimpasa in an away match in Istanbul after beating 3-1 in the first leg.

The first leg of semifinals will be played between April 2-4 and the second leg matches will be held between April 23-25.

The final will be played in the central Sivas province on May 16.

The second leg of quarterfinal matches are as follows:

Tuesday:

Umraniyespor - Trabzonspor at 1700GMT

Wednesday:

Hatayspor - Galatasaray at 1100GMT

Goztepe - Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor at 1700GMT

Thursday:

Kasimpasa - Akhisarspor at 1700GMT

The semifinal matches are as follows:

Trabzonspor - Umraniyespor tie winner vs. Akhisarspor - Kasimpasa tie winner

Galatasaray - Hatayspor tie winner vs. Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor - Goztepe tie winner
