Football: Week 17 in Turkish league to start Saturday

ISTANBUL (AA) - Besiktas will play against Kasimpasa on Saturday to kick off Turkey's Spor Toto Super Lig's last week of the season's first half, while leading Medipol Basaksehir will face Aytemiz Alanyaspor.

Galatasaray will play against Demir Grup Sivasspor at home on Sunday while Fenerbahce will face Antalyaspor in an away match on Monday.

Medipol Basaksehir remain strong on top of the Turkish football league with 34 points after a draw with rival Galatasaray.

Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor came second with 28 points, followed by Besiktas, Trabzonspor and Galatasaray, with 26 points each.

Fenerbahce remained in the relegation zone after a 2-2 draw with Erzurumspor at home.

Currently, Fenerbahce with 15 points are at 17th place in the league -- 19 points away from top of the league.
