Four PKK terrorists killed in SE Turkey

ANKARA (AA) - Four PKK terrorists have been killed in a Turkish army air raid in southeastern Hakkari province, the military said Friday.

Turkish fighter jets on Thursday morning conducted an airstrike on PKK targets in the rural areas of Yuksekova district, Hakkari province, killing four terrorists, the General Staff said in a statement.

The operation also destroyed "two weapon emplacements and dynamic targets," the statement added.

More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
