France beat Brazil, Canada top Greece in men's basketball at 2024 Paris Olympics

France beat Brazil and Canada topped Greece on Saturday in men's basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

France beat Brazil 78-66 in a Group B game.

Victor Wembenyama and Nicolas Batum dropped 19 points each for France at Pierre Mauroy Stadium.

Cristiano Felcio and Leo Meindl each had 14 points for Brazil.

France are second behind Germany in Group B, both with two points.

- Canada begin Olympics with win

Canada defeated Greece 86-79 in a Group A game.

RJ Barrett led Canada with 23 points, while Greece's NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped in 34 points in the loss at Pierre Mauroy Stadium.

Canada are second behind Australia in Group A, both with 2 points.
