French midfielder Paul Pogba will leave Juventus at the end of November before returning to the game from a doping ban, the Italian football powerhouse confirmed Friday.
"Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have reached a mutual agreement for the termination of their contract as of 30 November, 2024," the Turin club said in a statement.
"The club wishes Paul the very best for his professional future," Juventus added.
The 31-year-old will be a free agent in a couple of weeks and join a new club in the January transfer window.
Pogba, a 2018 FIFA World Cup winner with France, was previously handed a four-year ban by Italy's anti-doping court for failing a drug test.
He tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone after the Udinese-Juventus match on Aug. 20, 2023.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced the Frenchman's ineligibility on Oct. 7 from four years to 18 months. His Juventus deal was due to expire in 2026.
Following the CAS ruling, Pogba will return to competitive football in March 2025.
Pogba helped Manchester United win the 2017 UEFA Europa League title. He rejoined Juventus from Manchester United in 2022.
He is a four-time Italian champion with Juventus from 2013 - 2016.
Pogba rejoined Manchester United from Juventus for a record €105 million ($116 million) transfer fee in 2016.
