Galatasaray, Fenerbahce to play tough matches pre-derby

ISTANBUL (AA) - Galatasaray will look for a fourth consecutive win in Tuesday's Turkish Super Lig game against Medipol Basaksehir.

Week 23 game will kick off at 7 p.m local time (1600 GMT) at Istanbul's Turk Telekom stadium

Collected 42 points, the Lions are currently in the third spot, winning in 13, drawing in three, and losing in five games.

Medipol Basaksehir, who appointed Aykut Kocaman as their new manager on Saturday, aim to end four-game victory drought in the league.

The Navy Blue-Oranges had 24 points with six wins, six draws and nine defeats so far, putting them in the number 15 spot in the standings.

Basaksehir's Bosnian midfielder Edin Visca, Belgian winger Nacer Chadli and Berkay Ozcan will not play due to their injuries.

For Galatasaray, Sofiane Feghouli, Ogulcan Caglayan, Sener Ozbayrakli, Emre Tasdemir and Radamel Falcao will not able to compete for the Lions due to injuries.

- Fenerbahce to face Hatayspor for tough away game

Super Lig leaders Fenerbahce will play against the seventh-place side Atakas Hatayspor.

Tuesday's tough game will be held at 1600 GMT at Antakya Ataturk stadium.

The Yellow-Canaries are currently at top of Lig with 45 points as Hatayspor are in the seventh spot with 35 points.

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce will face each other at Kadikoy on February 6.
