Galatasaray to host Sweden's Elfsborg in week 3 of UEFA Europa League

Lions to play their 321st European match

ISTANBUL (AA) – Galatasaray will host Sweden's Elfsborg in week 3 of the UEFA Europa League on Wednesday at RAMS Park.

It will be the Istanbul club’s 321st European match. The Lions have won 114 of the 320 matches they have played in European competitions and were defeated in 121 matches, while 85 matches ended in a draw

In UEFA competitions, the Yellow Reds scored 434 goals and conceded 479 goals.

Galatasaray, which bagged the UEFA Cup (former brand of Europa League) in the 1999-2000 season, have not lost 14 of their last 16 matches in the Europa League.

The Yellow Reds have won 38, drawn 32 and lost 26 of their 96 Europa League matches so far.

The Lions, which have been opponents of Swedish teams seven times in European competitions, have won only 1 of these matches and got 2 draws and 4 defeats.
