Germany defeat France 2-0 in international friendly football match

Germany defeated France 2-0 in an international friendly football match Saturday.

Midfielder Florian Wirtz drew first blood in the first minute of the match at Parc Olympique Lyonnais.

Arsenal attacker, Kai Havertz, netted the second goal for his national team in the 49th minute.

Germany will host the EURO 2024, which will begin with Germany playing Scotland on June 14 at Munich's Allianz Arena.

Ten cities -- Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Dortmund, Leipzig, Gelsenkirchen, Stuttgart and Dusseldorf -- will host the tournament that will have 51 matches.

The final will be held at Berlin's Olympiastadion on July 14.
