Germany finish EuroBasket 2022 in 3rd spot

ANKARA (AA) - Germany finished the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 in third place by beating Poland 82-69 on Sunday.

Germans, defeated by Spain 96-91 in the semifinals, brought the lead early and kept it until the end of the game in Berlin.

Johannes Voigtmann was the most effective player on the court for the Germans with 14 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.

Michal Sokolowski's 18 points, six rebounds, and three assists were in vain for Poland which made a few surprises throughout the tournament until their 54-95 loss to France in the semifinals.

Spain will take on France in the EuroBasket 2022 final on Sunday.
