ISTANBUL (AA) - The Golden State Warriors honored Andre Iguodala with a ceremony retiring his No. 9 jersey.
The ceremony took place at the Chase Center following the Warriors' 126-104 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.
"It’s been a wild journey, but it’s been a beautiful blessing,” Iguodala said.
In his NBA career, Iguodala played for the Warriors for 19 seasons, and the Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets, and Miami Heat won the NBA championship four times.
He spent eight seasons with the Warriors, won the MVP award in the 2015 NBA Finals, and was selected as an All-Star once in 2012.
The former small forward played an important role in the Warriors' championship in 2015, after a 40-year hiatus. He announced his retirement in 2023.
Iguodala averaged 11.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 1,231 regular season games.
