Grizzlies beat Timberwolves, extend winning streak to 11 games
Memphis take 116-108 win at home to have 30-14 win/loss record this season

ANKARA (AA) - The Memphis Grizzlies toppled the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-108 in a Thursday NBA game to have their 11th straight win.
Following a home win at FedExForum, the Memphis are in the third spot in the Western Conference, having a 30-14 win/loss record this season.
Desmond Bane led the Grizzlies, scoring 21 points and making four steals. Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 20 points for the Memphis.
Grizzlies star Ja Morant tallied 16 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists, and shooting guard John Konchar scored 15 points and took 17 rebounds.
The Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards was the game's highest scorer with 30 points.
Minnesota point guard D'Angelo Russell bagged 29 points, and the Wolves' star Karl-Anthony Towns clocked up 25 points.
He also had nine rebounds.
Ninth in the West, the Timberwolves lost 22 games in the 2021-22 regular season.
The Minnesota previously won 20 others.
In the fourth quarter, the Memphis were leading the game 107-106 with 1:47 minutes remaining to the final buzzer.
After Bane's layup and Konchar's three-pointer, the Grizzlies had a six-point lead, 112-106, as there was one minute left in the game.
The Memphis cemented the home win after Bane scored from the free-throw line to make it 114-106 with 20.6 seconds to go.
The Grizzlies won the game 116-108.
- Denver hammer short-handed Portland
The Denver Nuggets hit the Portland Trail Blazers 140-108 at Ball Arena in Denver.
Will Barton led the Denver with 21 points, and Nikola Jokic scored 20 points.
Nuggets forward Jeff Green bagged 19, and Argentine point guard Facundo Campazzo added 18 points.
Campazzo made 12 assists as well.
Bones Hyland scored 17, and Zeke Nnaji had 16 points for the Nuggets.
The Trail Blazers were without their four top scorers due to injuries or personal reasons.
Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, and Norman Powell had health problems. Additionally, Anfernee Simons was out for personal reasons.
The Trail Blazers' shooting guard Ben McLemore led the team with 18 points.
Dennis Smith Jr. scored 17 points, and Nassir Little racked up 14 points for the Portland.
Sixth in the West standings, the Nuggets are going 21-19.
Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers are currently in the 10th spot with 16-25.
