JAKARTA (AA) - Indonesia and Singapore are among the latest countries to voice condemnation and prayers for those who died following Tuesday's early morning terror blast in Istanbul in which 11 people died, including seven police officers.
On Wednesday, Indonesia's ministry of foreign affairs released a statement condemning the attack on a riot police vehicle in Beyazit's Vezneciler area.
“We condemn the attack carried out in our allied country, Turkey, with the bomb loaded vehicle in the city of Istanbul. We pray for patience to the families of the victims,” the statement said.
The ministry mentioned that an Indonesian student studying at Istanbul University received light injuries in the incident.
Singapore's ministry of foreign affairs also offered its condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a fast recovery for those injured.
Turkey's Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has blamed the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and EU -- for the attack.
