ISTANBUL (AA) - The Italian Serie A match between Inter Milan and Sassuolo was suspended because of coronavirus cases on one football team, Inter said Thursday.
"FC Internazionale Milano announce that Stefan de Vrij and Matias Vecino have tested positive for Covid-19 following tests that were taken yesterday," Inter said in a statement.
It added that Dutch defender de Vrij and Uruguayan midfielder Vecino are in quarantine at their homes, while the entire team would undergo further tests on Monday.
The Nerazzurri said on Wednesday that the club's Slovenian goalkeeper Samir Handanovic tested positive for the virus and was in quarantine at home.
This game on matchday 28 was scheduled for Saturday, March 20.
Inter are at the top of the league standings with 65 points.
