Italy's Empoli footballer Miha Zajc joins Fenerbahce

24-year-old midfielder signs for Turkish club from Italian club Empoli

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish giants Fenerbahce have signed Slovenian midfielder Miha Zajc for a four-and-a-half year contract.

The 24-year-old midfielder joined the Turkish club form Italy's Serie A club Empoli.

This season in Empoli he had scored three goals in 21 matches.

The struggling Yellow Canaries have been suffering the worst season in history, with only four wins in 18 outings as of last Friday.

Fenerbahce are now in 14th place, only three points from the bottom of the league and a distant 21 points from the top, currently held by Medipol Basaksehir.

The transfer window for Turkish clubs will close 12 midnight (2100GMT) today.
