Kevin Durant stays with Nets; LA Lakers to get Patrick Beverley
Nets announce agreement with Durant; Los Angeles on verge of completing trade with Utah Jazz, according to reports

ANKARA (AA) - The Brooklyn Nets said Kevin Durant has agreed to stay with the team to "bring an NBA title to Brooklyn."
Team general manager and alternate owner Sean Marks said that during a meeting with Durant, Steve Nash and other owners, everyone agreed to move forward with the partnership.
"We are focusing on basketball, with one collective goal in mind: build a lasting franchise to bring a championship to Brooklyn," Marks added.
Durant, 33, averaged a franchise-record 29.9 points in 55 games last season.

The Los Angeles Lakers will get point guard Patrick Beverley from the Utah Jazz, according to reports.
The Jazz will get Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson in exchange for the veteran guard.
Beverley, 34, who previously played for the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves, averaged 9.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game while shooting 34.3% on three-pointers in 54 games he started last season.
