League leaders Trabzonspor head to Istanbul to face reigning champs Besiktas in Super Lig

Currently unbeaten in Super Lig and winners of last 4 matches, Trabzonspor look to maintain good form against Besiktas

ANKARA (AA) - Istanbul’s Besiktas will host Black Sea side Trabzonspor on Saturday in a Turkish Super Lig week 12 matchup.

The Black Eagles, currently in the league’s number four spot, will look to close the six-point gap between the current league leaders, the Black Sea Storm.

Despite the home turf advantage, Besiktas seem to have a hard match in front of them as several key players will have to sit out the game.

Domagoj Vida, Miralem Pjanic, Michy Batshuayi, Valentin Rosier, Can Bozdogan, Georges-Kevin N'Koudou, and Ajdin Hasic will all be unavailable due to injuries.

Besiktas' recent 4-0 lost to Sporting Lisbon 4-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday may also dampen the Istanbul team’s spirits for the game.

Trabzospor on the other hand have only two injured players: Bruno Peres and Gervinho.

Besiktas will play against Trabzonspor on Saturday at 1600 GMT at Vodafone Park, Istanbul.
