Liverpool, Real Madrid, Leverkusen, Inter, PSG maintain their lead in European top-tier football leagues
Arsenal beat Liverpool 3-1, Real Madrid draw with Atletico 1-1, Inter beat Juventus 1-0, Leverkusen win at Darmstadt, PSG beat Strasbourg

Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) all maintained leads in their respective leagues over the weekend.
On Sunday, second-place Arsenal beat English Premier League leaders Liverpool 3-1 at London’s Emirates Stadium.
Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard were the scorers for the Gunners.
Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes scored an own goal near the end of the first half.
Liverpool are leading the league despite the loss, as the Reds have racked up 51 points in 23 matches.
Title contenders Manchester City, who have two games in hand, have collected 46 points. Man City will visit Brentford on Monday.
Arsenal boosted their points to 49 to keep chasing Liverpool.
- Spanish leaders Real Madrid draw with Atletico Madrid
Real Madrid carried on to lead Spain’s LaLiga despite a home draw in a Madrid derby on Sunday.
Atletico Madrid rescued a 1-1 draw over Real Madrid as Marcos Llorente scored a late header. The points were shared at Santiago’s Bernabeu Stadium.
Real Madrid are at the top of the table with 58 points in 23 matches and Atletico Madrid are fourth with 48 points.
Barcelona beat Deportivo Alaves 3-1 on Saturday, and Real Madrid's nearest opponents Girona drew with Real Sociedad 0-0.
Real Madrid will next play against Girona at home on Saturday.
Girona have 56 points before this weekend's critical match.
Barcelona are at third, six points behind Girona.
- Unbeaten leaders Leverkusen win at Darmstadt
In a dream run in the German Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen, who are still unbeaten leaders, beat Darmstadt 2-0 in a Saturday away match.
Leverkusen's Nathan Tella scored double to bring three points to his club.
Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen increased their points to 52 in 20 matches.
Second-place Bayern Munich beat Borussia Monchengladbach 3-1 at home on Saturday. Bayern have 50 points and are seeking a mistake of the leaders.
Third-place Stuttgart have 40 points.
- Inter secure narrow win over Juventus in Italy
Italian Serie A leaders Inter Milan claimed a 1-0 win over second-place Juventus on Sunday.
Juventus defender Federico Gatti's 37th-minute own goal brought victory to the Nerazzurri.
Inter, who have a game in hand, have 57 points in 22 matches to keep leading the league.
Juventus have 53 points.
After beating Frosinone 3-2 on Saturday, AC Milan are third with 49 points.
- PSG remain on top of French league
French Ligue 1 leaders PSG won at Strasbourg 2-1 on Friday to keep their top position in the local league.
PSG have 47 points in 20 matches to go eight points clear of Nice, who took a 0-0 draw at Brest on Sunday.
Brest are third with 36 points.
