ANKARA (AA) - The 2022 Emirates FA Cup winners, Liverpool will face defending English Premier League champions Manchester City in Saturday's FA Community Shield, which will be the 100th edition of it.

Liverpool's Uruguayan forward Darwin Nunez, and Manchester City's Norwegian star Erling Haaland are set to play their first official match each in England.

Both attackers made their ways to the English Premier League in July.

Nunez left Portugal's Benfica for Liverpool, and Haaland was signed from German club Borussia Dortmund.

Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus were the Man City attackers but the pair left the club this summer. Sterling joined London's Chelsea, and Jesus move to their city rivals Arsenal.

The FA Community Shield, season’s traditional curtain raiser, will be played at Leicester's City's King Power Stadium rather than usual Wembley.

The Wembley Stadium in London will host Sunday's UEFA Women's EURO 2022 final between the host nation England and Germany.

The match in Leicester will start at 1600 GMT.

Liverpool have won the Community Shield for 15 times. Meanwhile Manchester City had six Community Shield victories.

Leicester City are the 2021 Community Shield winners but the Foxes did not qualify for this year's game.

Because they did not win either the league or the FA Cup in the previous season.

Manchester United are the Community Shield's record holders, winning it for 21 times, the last in 2016.

Bayern Munich without Robert Lewandowski will visit Leipzig at Red Bull Arena on Saturday.

This summer Polish star Lewandowski, who was a longtime Bayern Munich forward, joined Barcelona. The Bavarian club may lack him.

German defender Niklas Sule and French midfielder Corentin Tolisso also left Bayern Munich this month.

Matthijs de Ligt, Sadio Mane, Mathys Tel, Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui were the Bayern Munich signings.

Bayern Munich won the German Super Cup for nine times to be the record holders, and they are the defending champions.

The current champions are Besiktas, but Galatasaray had the most Super Cup titles with 16.

The 2022 Portuguese league and cup champions Porto will play against the last season's Portuguese Cup finalists Tondela in the Super Cup match in Aveiro on Saturday.

The match at Estadio Municipal de Aveiro will kick off at 1945 GMT.

Porto won this title for 22 times in total to be the record champions. They last claimed it in 2020.
