Man City win derby match to keep pace with Tottenham at top of standings

With 24 points under their belt, Sky Blues 2 points behind leader Tottenham Hotspur

ISTANBUL (AA) - Manchester City won the Manchester derby with a 3-0 score to keep pace with Tottenham Hotspur at the top of Premier League standings.

After the latest matches in the top five European leagues over the weekend, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayer Leverkusen, and Nice are leading in their respective leagues.

Manchester City beat their city rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford thanks to an Erling Haaland brace and a second-half goal from Phil Foden.

Tottenham Hotspur secured a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace on the road to remain at the top of the rankings. Arsenal hammered Sheffield United 5-0 as Eddie Nketiah scored a hat-trick at the Emirates Stadium.

Liverpool beat Nottingham Forest with a 3-0 score at Anfield Stadium to be fourth in the rankings.

On matchday 10, Tottenham are top of the table with 26 points, followed by Arsenal and Manchester City with 24 points.


- Real Madrid win El Clasico

Jude Bellingham netted twice to secure an El Clasico win for Real Madrid against Barcelona at Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium.

Ilkay Gundogan gave Barcelona a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute while Jude Bellingham's two goals came in the 68th and 92nd minutes.

Girona beat Celta Vigo with a narrow win while Atletico Madrid defeated Alaves 2-1 at home.

Real Madrid are top of the table with 28 points. Atletico Madrid, who have a game in hand, and Girona collected 25 points each.

Barcelona are fourth with 24 points.


- Bayern hammer Darmstadt 8-0

League leaders Bayer Leverkusen defeated Freiburg 2-1 as the goals came from Florian Wirtz and Jonas Hofmann.

Harry Kane scored a hat-trick and Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala scored twice each in Bayern Munich's 8-0 victory over Darmstadt 8-0 at Allianz Arena. Another goal came from Thomas Muller.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich and Darmstadt's Klaus Gjasula and Matej Maglica received red cards.

Bayer Leverkusen collected 25 points and Bayern Munich are second with 23 points while Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund have 21 points.

Monaco suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Lille to drop to second place in the standings. Nice beat Clermont 1-0 as Hicham Boudaoui scored for his team at away.

Paris Saint-Germain received a 3-2 win over Brest and Kylin Mbappe scored twice for the Parisians.

Nice jumped to first place with 22 points, Paris Saint-Germain collected 21 points to place second and Monaco are third with 20 points.

Inter Milan won 1-0 against Roma at home to remain at the top.

Napoli were held to a 2-2 draw against AC Milan at Diego Armando Maradona stadium. Juventus upset Hellas Verona with a late goal from Andrea Cambiaso.

Inter Milan have 25 points, two points ahead of second-place Juventus and AC Milan are third with 22 points.
