Manchester United beat Liverpool in extra time to advance to FA Cup semis

ISTANBUL (AA) - Manchester United defeated Liverpool 4-3 in extra time to advance to the FA Cup semifinal on Sunday.

Manchester United broke the deadlock with Scott McTominay in the 10th minute but Liverpool leveled the game with Alexis Mac Allister in the 44th minute at the Old Trafford.

After three minutes, the Reds took the lead when Mohamed Salah made a close-range finish.

Antony scored with his right foot in the penalty box to equalize the game in the 87th minute.

After a 2-2 draw the game went to extra-time.

Liverpool took the lead again in the 105th minute with a long-range finish from Harvey Elliott.

Marcus Rashford scored a right-foot goal to make it 3-3 in the 112th minute.

On a counter attack, Amad Diallo put the ball into the net in added time of extra time to send the Red Devils into the semifinals.

The 21-year-old striker was shown a red card after receiving a second yellow for removing his shirt to celebrate.

Manchester United will face Coventry City and Manchester City will take on Chelsea in the semifinals.
