Mavericks, Timberwolves to play in NBA Western finals

The Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves will play in the NBA Western Conference finals, while the Boston Celtics and the Indiana Pacers will play in the Eastern Conference finals.

The Celtics-Pacers final match-up will begin on Tuesday, while the final series between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves will begin on Wednesday.

The Mavericks eliminated the Oklahoma City Thunder in Western semifinals with 4-2, while the Timberwolves eliminated the Reigning champions the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals with 4-3.

In the Eastern Conference semifinals, the Celtics eliminated the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-1, while the Pacers knocked the New York Knicks out with 4-3.

The Celtics will fight for their 18th championship, which may make them the team with the most NBA championships, passing the Los Angeles Lakers with 17 titles.

The Mavericks will play for their second NBA title, while the Timberwolves and the Pacers will fight for their maiden title.
