Maxime Renaux wins first race of MX2 Afyon stage

AFYONKARAHISAR, Turkey (AA) - Maxime Renaux on Wednesday won the first race of the FIM Motocross World Championship MX2 Afyon stage in western Turkey with 34:59.757.

Another French rider Tom Vialle placed second with 35:17.045 while Italian rider Mattia Guadagnini took the third spot with 35:25.905 at Afyon Motorsports Center.

Renaux currently tops the world championship classification table with 339 points, followed by Vialle with 297 points.

The second race of the MX2 Afyon Grand Prix will be held later on Wednesday.
