‘No comment,’ says China on Biden’s exit from US elections

ISTANBUL (AA) – China on Monday refrained from commenting on US President Joe Biden’s decision to exit the presidential race, state media reported.

“The US election is an internal matter" of America, said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning.

“No comment,” Mao replied when asked about China's reaction to Biden's exit.

Amid pressure from co-Democrats, Biden on Sunday announced his exit from the November presidential race.

Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to become the next Democratic nominee.
