'Our cyber borders' matter just like land, sea borders: Turkish business official
Türkiye's Industrialists and Businessmen's Association to hold summit featuring digital defense, artificial intelligence
By Abdulkadir Gunyol
ISTANBUL (AA) - Taha Ciftci, chairman of the Digital Transformation Sector Board of Türkiye's Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) told Anadolu on Tuesday that "our cyber borders" have become important just like land, sea and air borders.
Türkiye's transformation strategy in digital defense will be discussed at the Cyber Power Türkiye 2024 Summit that will be organized by MUSIAD on Wednesday.
Ciftci said events such as the pager explosions in Lebanon and the security update problem with CrowdStrike and Microsoft have made cybersecurity very important.
He noted that there would be two important topics at the summit.
“The first of these is the defense line of the digital world, and that the second one is artificial intelligence wars,” he said. "We will produce a model where we will bring entrepreneurs and investors together and open our companies to the globe.”
"We will support our cybersecurity companies. We will have 18 areas where we will allocate free stands to our entrepreneurs," said Ciftci.
He noted that when combined with cybersecurity, artificial intelligence will become much more important.
"Data is so important here. In order to model artificial intelligence, you need to master the data. When you master this data and combine this power with cybersecurity, that is, cyberattack and cyberattacks, it will have a great impact," he added.
