ANKARA (AA) - Bayern Munich will be without the services of Niklas Sule and Benjamin Pavard for upcoming matches, the club announced Thursday.

Sule, a German national, suffered a hamstring injury during training on Wednesday.

"Niklas Sule tore a muscle in his right rear thigh. The 26-year-old FC Bayern centre-back is now facing a spell on the sidelines," it said.

The German giants also confirmed that French defender Benjamin Pavard has contracted the coronavirus.

The 25-year-old has gone into self-isolation.

After collecting 60 points in 26 matches, Bayern is atop the Bundesliga standings, four points ahead of Borussia Dortmund.
