Premier League: Manchester City beat Chelsea 2-1

ANKARA (AA) - Manchester City beat Chelsea 2-1 with comeback in a highly-anticipated match of the week at the Premier League on Saturday.

French midfielder Ngolo Kante gave the 1-0 lead to Chelsea in the 21st minute at the Etihad Stadium.

But Manchester City made a comeback after Kevin De Bruyne from Belgium and Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez found the net.

Manchester City made the score 2-1 when the first half ended.

Chelsea were not able to score in the second half and Guardiola's team captured three points in a tough match.

Manchester City currently have 28 points and sit in the third place. They are still in the title race following Liverpool and Leicester City.

Chelsea's six-match win streak were ended by this defeat as they missed a chance to make four points difference with Manchester City in the table.

They are in the fourth spot with 23 points.

Liverpool defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 in an away match to remain at the top of the Premier League.

Both teams were not able to break deadlock in the first half.

At the beginning of the second half, the Senegalese winger of Liverpool Sadio Mane put the ball into the Crystal Palace net in the 49th minute.

Palace's Wilfried Zaha from Ivory Coast equalized the match in the 82nd minute.

Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino scored the late goal in 89th minute to secure a dramatic win for the Reds.
