River Plate win Superclasico 2-0 against Boca Juniors

ISTANBUL (AA) - River Plate defeated Boca Juniors 2-0 in the 260th Superclasico in the seventh week of the Argentine premier league on Monday.

River Plate broke the deadlock when Salomon Rondon made a close-range finish in the 41st minute, while Enzo Hernan Diaz doubled the lead in the stoppage time at the La Bombonera stadium.

With this win, River Plate jumped to first place with 13 points in Group A, while Boca Juniors remained at the 10th spot with seven points in Group B.
