Roma, Docherty triumph in stage 10 of 2025 Dakar Rally
In general classification, South Africa’s Henk Lategan (Toyota Gazoo) leads in cars, Australia’s Daniel Sanders (Red Bull KTM) leads in bikes

ISTANBUL (AA) – Spain’s Nani Roma won Stage 10 of the 2025 Dakar Rally on Wednesday in the car category while South African Michael Docherty was triumphant in the bike category.
The stage, part of the 47th edition of the rally held in Saudi Arabia, covered a 120-kilometer (74-mile) route between Haradh and Shubaytah.
In the car class, two-time Dakar champion Roma (Ford M-Sport) clinched his first stage victory this year with a time of 2 hours 6 minutes and 34 seconds. Brazil’s Lucas Moraes (Toyota Gazoo) finished second, trailing by 18 seconds, while South Africa’s Brian Baragwanath came in third at 2 minutes and 21 seconds behind.
South Africa’s Henk Lategan (Toyota Gazoo) reclaimed the overall lead in the general classification with a total time of 47 hours, 29 minutes and 57 seconds, surpassing Saudi Arabia’s Yazeed Al Rajhi (Overdrive) by 2 minutes and 27 seconds.
In the bike category, Docherty (BAS World KTM) secured his first stage win with a time of 2 hours and 3 seconds. Portugal’s Rui Goncalves (Sherco) finished second, 1 minute and 20 seconds behind and Austria’s Tobias Ebster (BAS World KTM) took third, 2 minutes and 21 seconds off the lead.
Australia’s Daniel Sanders (Red Bull KTM), boasting five stage wins, retained his top spot in the bike general classification with a cumulative time of 49 hours, 53 minutes and 59 seconds, leading Spain’s Tosha Schareina (Monster Energy Honda) by 16 minutes and 31 seconds.
The 11th stage of the Dakar Rally is set to take place Thursday over a 275-kilometer (170-mile) course in Shubaytah.
