ISTANBUL (AA) - Russia's Central Scientific - Research Institute for Precision Machine Engineering (TsNIITochMash) has reoriented the export of its products to countries friendly to Moscow, according to a statement on Tuesday.

“As a result of technical and commercial negotiations with partners, a number of contracts were concluded, the implementation of which is planned for 2023,” a statement by the Kalashnikov Concern, an arms manufacturing group, read.

The statement said TsNIITochMash has prepared more than 10 commercial offers for the supply of weapons and ammunition, mainly to member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

“In recent years, more than 30 export contracts for the supply of products developed and manufactured at TsNIITochMash have been concluded and implemented with more than 25 countries near and far abroad,” the statement added.

The CSTO is an intergovernmental military alliance founded in 1992, and consists of six former Soviet states: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
