Sabalenka reaches 3rd straight US Open semifinal

Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka on Wednesday beat No. 23 seed Zheng Qinwen 6-1 and 6-4 to reach her third straight US Open semifinal.

"I think I definitely played great tennis today. I’m super happy with the win against her, she’s (Zheng) played unbelievable tennis this US Open," the world No. 1 said after beating her Chinese opponent.

"I’m trying to focus on my game, I’ll focus on being No. 1 after the US Open," Sabalenka added.

In the semifinals, Sabalenka, 25, will take on the winner of the Marketa Vondrousova-Madison Keys quarterfinal showdown.
