Sergio Ramos leaves Spanish LaLiga club Sevilla
37-year-old veteran announces he will not return to his boyhood club next season

Spanish LaLiga club Sevilla announced on Monday that defender Sergio Ramos has decided to leave club.
"Ramos has informed Sevilla FC that he will not stay next season after fulfiling his dream of returning to the club where he came through the academy before making his international debut," a statement by the Spanish side read.
"The Club wishes to thank Sergio for the commitment, leadership and dedication that he has demonstrated this season, and wishes him the best for future," the statement added.
Sevilla-trained Ramos played 49 matches before his sensational move to Real Madrid in 2005.
A Real Madrid regular in 2005-2021, Ramos helped it win five Spanish La Liga and four UEFA Champions League titles and three UEFA Super Cup trophies.
He scored 101 goals in 671 appearances for Real Madrid.
One of the best defenders of his generation, Ramos helped PSG win back-to-back French Ligue 1 titles in 2022 and 2023.
He was one of the integral parts of the Spanish national team as Ramos helped them win the 2010 FIFA World Cup and back-to-back EURO titles in 2008 and 2012.
Ramos racked up 180 international caps to score 23 goals for Spain.
