Simone Biles withdraws from event finals in vault, uneven bars
Biles previously withdrew from team competition to prioritize her mental health

ANKARA (AA) - American gymnast Simone Biles withdrew from the event finals in the vault and uneven bars at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, according to a statement by USA Gymnastics.
After further consultation with medical staff, Biles decided to withdraw from the vault and uneven bars finals, USA Gymnastics announced on their official Twitter account.
MyKayla Skinner, who had the fourth final score during the qualifications, will step up in vault finals with Jade Carrey, who finished with the second-highest score.
Biles, 24, will continue to be evaluated daily to determine whether to compete in the finals for floor exercise and balance beam, the statement added.
Olympic gold medalist withdrew from the final individual all-around competition in the ongoing Olympics for her mental wellbeing and Team USA managed to bag silver medal without her by their side.
One of the most decorated American athletes, Biles has combined 30 Olympic and world medals so far.
She won four gold medals at the 2016 Rio Games.
