Suns defeat Timberwolves 99-96 in 9th straight victory

ISTANBUL (AA) - In their ninth straight win, the Phoenix Suns on Monday edged out the Minnesota Timberwolves with a score of 99-96.

Bahamian center Deandre Ayton posted a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Suns at Minneapolis'Target Center.

Devin Booker got 29 points, while Chris Paul finished with 21 points and eight assists.

Minnesota's Karl-Anthony Towns was the highest scorer of the game with 35 points and 13 rebounds.

D'Angelo Russell racked up 22 points for the Timberwolves.

With the win, the Suns now have a 10-3 win/loss in the Eastern Conference.

The Boston Celtics claimed a 98-92 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Turkish international Cedi Osman had 26 points and five assists off the bench for the Cavs.

Spanish star Ricky Rubio's impressive 28 points were not enough to save his team from defeat.

Boston Celtic's Jayson Tatum played with 23 points in his team's seventh win.

Dallas Mavericks’ Slovenian guard Luka Doncic left the court after turning his left ankle in a 111-101 win over the Denver Nuggets.

“Luka walked off on his own power. I think he got rolled up on his lower left leg, so we’ll see how he feels tomorrow,” Dallas coach Jason Kidd said in a statement.
