Swiss forward Haris Seferovic joins Galatasaray

30-year-old joins Lions on €1M loan, with option to buy

ANKARA (AA) - Swiss forward Haris Seferovic has joined Galatasaray on loan from Benfica, the Istanbul club said on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old joined the Lions on a €1 million ($1.02 million) loan, with an option to buy for €2.5 million ($2.55 million).

Galatasaray will pay Seferovic a net €2.3 million ($2.35 million) for the 2022-2023 season.
Seferovic, a Benfica player since 2017, had a contract with the Lisbon club until 2024.

The Swiss international scored 74 goals in 187 matches for Benfica and also helped them win the 2019 Portuguese league title.

He scored 25 goals in 86 international matches for Switzerland, and also represented the nation in the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cup tournaments.
