Team Dsm-Firmenich win opening stage of Spanish cycling tour

ANKARA (AA) — Team Dsm-Firmenich clinched victory Saturday in the opening stage of the Spanish Cycling Tour, La Vuelta, which took place in Barcelona.

Spain's Movistar Team nearly matched the German team, finishing only half a second behind the top spot.

Italian rider Lorenzo Milesi, the winner of the rainbow jersey in the Under 23 individual time trial, finished first in the opening stage of the 78th edition of the competition.

Stage 2 of the tour is set to take place on Sunday, running from Mataro to Barcelona.
