Tom Pidcock wins Alpe d'Huez stage, Vingegaard remains in yellow jersey
British rider finishes 165.5-km 12th stage of Tour de France in 4 hours, 55 minutes, 24 seconds

ISTANBUL (AA) - Tom Pidcock of Ineos Grenadiers won Stage 12 of the Tour de France on Thursday.
The British rider finished the 165.5-kilometer (102.8 miles) 12th stage between Briancon and Alpe d'Huez in 4 hours, 55 minutes, and 24 seconds.
He became the youngest rider to win a Tour de France stage on the iconic Alpe d'Huez mountain.
South African Louis Meintjes from the team Intermarche-Wanty-Gobert Materiaux came in second, while British Chris Froome from Israel-Premier Tech finished the stage third.
Denmark's Jonas Vingegaard from Jumbo-Visma finished the stage in 6th and maintained his lead in the general classification with a total time of 46 hours, 28 minutes, and 46 seconds.
The tour will continue on Friday with the 13th stage, stretching 193 kilometers between the local government of Le Bourg-d'Oisans and the city of Saint-Etienne.
Comprising 21 stages, the Tour de France will end in Paris on July 24.
