Tottenham beat Manchester City 1-0 in Premier League season opener

ISTANBUL (AA) - Tottenham Hotspur clinched a 1-0 win against Manchester City in the Premier League season opener.

South Korean star Heung-Min Son netted the winning goal for the London side in minute 55 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

On Friday, Premier League newcomers Brentford defeated Arsenal 2-0 in the season's opening game.

Manchester United on Saturday hammered Leeds United 5-1 as Paul Pogba became the first United player to make four assists in a Premier League.

Chelsea also claimed a 3-0 win against Crystal Palace as the goals came from Marcos Alonso, Christian Pulisic, and Trevoh Chalobah.

Leicester City beat Wolverhampton with a 1-0 score at King Power Stadium.
