Tsitsipas, Sabalenka into 3rd round of Australian Open

Second-seeded Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus beat Chinese Xinyu Wang to reach 3rd round

ANKARA (AA) - World No. 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas reached in the third round of 2022 Australian Open on Thursday.

Greek tennis player beat Sebastian Baez from Argentina with sets of 7-6, 6-7, 6-3 and 6-4 at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena.

Meanwhile, Andrey Rublev from Russia moved to next round with a victory over Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis.

He won the match 6-4, 6-2, 6-0 in straight sets.

- Sabalenka advances to 3rd round

Second-seeded Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus eliminated Chinese Xinyu Wang to reach third round.

After winning Wang won the first set 6-1, Sabalenka bounced back to win the next two sets, 6-4 and 6-2, qualifying for the next round.
