Turkish stock exchange up at open

ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, opened Thursday at 10,751.99 points, marking an increase of 1.07% or 113.41 points from the previous close.

On Wednesday, the BIST 100 index fell by 0.50% to 10,638.58 points, with a daily transaction volume of 94 billion Turkish liras ($2.82 billion).

As of 10.15 a.m. (0715GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 33.1175. The EUR/TRY rate stood at 35.9545, while the GBP/TRY rate was 42.4280.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,443.95, and the price of Brent crude oil was around $81.20 per barrel.
