Türkiye suffers loss against Serbia in 1st match of FIBA Women's EuroBasket
Yvonne Anderson highest scorer of match with 17 points in 71-63 win

ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye suffered a 71-63 loss to Serbia in Group D of the FIBA Women's EuroBasket on Thursday.
Yvonne Anderson was the highest scorer of the game with 17 points and five assists at the Stozice Arena in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Jovana Nogic scored 12 points while Masa Jankovic produced 10 points for the Serbian side.
Four Turkish players scored in double digits in the defeat.
Teaira McCowan helped Türkiye with 12 points while Olcay Cakir Turgut, Sevgi Uzun and Alperi Onar each netted 10 points.
The 39th edition of the tournament is taking place in Tel Aviv, Israel and the Slovenian capital Ljubljana.
Four group winners in EuroBasket 2023 will directly advance to the quarterfinals.
The national teams, who will be placed second and third in each group, will play in the qualification for the last eight.
The fourth-place sides will say goodbye to the basketball event.
