Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends week on low note

ANKARA (AA) — Türkiye's benchmark stock index closed Friday at 10,647.91 points, falling 0.31% from the previous day.

After starting the day at 10,738.78 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 33 points with a daily trading volume of 121.1 billion liras ($3.69 billion). On a weekly basis, the index fell 1.15%.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,338.55, while Brent crude oil sold for around $84.83 per barrel as of 6.31 p.m. local time (1531GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.7791, euro/lira at 35.1610, while a British pound traded for 41.4132 liras.
