ANKARA (AA) – The UEFA Appeals Body announced on Monday that it suspended one of Fenerbahce's three-game away supporters ban, which was imposed in response to events during the March 7 UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 first leg game.
"Fenerbahce SK's ban from selling tickets to its away supporters for its next (1) UEFA competition match, for lighting of fireworks and acts of damage, (...) is still suspended for a probationary period of two years, starting from the date of the decision of the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (Oct. 20, 2023)" read the statement.
The Yellow Canaries' two-match away supporters’ ban and €80,000 (about $86.800) fine still stand as the body confirmed them.
Fenerbahce was also ordered to contact R. Union Saint-Gilloise within 30 days of the decision's date to settle the damages caused by its supporters, i.e. for the 15 broken seats, according to the statement.
The Yellow Canaries were banned due to crowd disturbances, lighting of fireworks, throwing of objects, and acts of damage during the March 7 UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 first leg game against Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise.
Fenerbahce will be hosted by Greek team Olympiakos on Thursday in the UEFA Europa Conference League quarterfinals first leg.
