Verstappen wins Canadian Grand Prix, Red Bull seal 100th victory in F1
Max Verstappen bags 41 wins in his career to level with F1 great Ayrton Senna

ANKARA (AA) - Dutch Formula One driver Max Verstappen won the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday to secure his Red Bull team's 100th victory.
Verstappen, a back-to-back world champion, saw the checkered flag first at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal, completing the 70-lap race in one hour, 33 minutes and 58.348 seconds.
Aston Martin's Spanish driver Fernando Alonso was 9.57 seconds behind Verstappen to finish second in Round 9.
Mercedes' British racer Lewis Hamilton, who is a seven-time F1 champion, was third, ending the race 14.168 seconds behind the winner.
Verstappen is dominating the 2023 season, winning six races out of eight.
The sixth round, the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, was previously canceled due to serious flooding that hit northern Italy.
In addition, Verstappen has bagged the 41st win in his career to level with F1 great Ayrton Senna, who died in 1994 at the age of 34 after a crash during the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola, Italy.
This season, Verstappen's Red Bull team is also showing a perfect performance with a 100% winning record as his Mexican teammate Sergio Perez won the other two Grand Prix races.
The next race, Round 10, will be held in Austria on July 2.
Verstappen has 195 points to lead the 2023 Driver Standings. His nearest rival Perez has 126 points.
Third in the standings, Alonso has collected 117 points.
Hamilton is in fourth spot with 102 points, and Ferrari's Carlos Sainz is 34 points behind the British driver.
Red Bull are on a big lead in this season's Constructor Standings with 321 points.
Second-place Mercedes have 167 points. Aston Martin are third with 154 points.
Ferrari have 122, and fifth-place Alpine bagged 44 points.
