Warriors beat Bucks 122-109 as Klay Thompson scores season-high 38 points

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 31 points were not enough for reigning champions to clunch 7th straight win in NBA

ANKARA (AA) - The Golden State Warriors defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 122-109 in an NBA game on Sunday.

The Warriors' Klay Thompson led his team with his season-high 38 points while Jordan Poole contributed with 30 at Chase Center in San Francisco.

"I was eager for a night like this," Thompson said about the game, adding "but a mid-season shooting slump it's not going to kill my ego, I'm still going to go out there and compete."

The Bucks' star Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped 31 points but his efforts were not enough for the reigning champions to clinch their seventh straight win in NBA.

The Milwaukee Bucks are in the second spot with 42 wins and 26 losses in the Eastern Conference standings, while the Golden State Warriors placed third with 46 wins and 22 losses in the Western standings.
