London's West Ham United offered a £25,000 ($31,576) reward on Monday for information about the burglary of French football player Kurt Zouma's home over the weekend.

"West Ham United has offered a £25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of burglars who broke into defender Kurt Zouma’s home on the eve of the club’s Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace this past weekend," a club statement said.

"Kurt’s home was broken into on Saturday while all his family were in the house, leaving everyone present extremely distressed. While thankfully no one was harmed, it was a traumatic experience for the West Ham defender, his wife and their young family," the Hammers said.

The Premier League club added that the thieves took items of "significant value and of huge personal and sentimental importance to the family."

West Ham added that anyone who has any information about the case can e-mail the club and it will be shared with the police.

Zouma did not play in a Sunday match against Crystal Palace that ended 1-1 at London Stadium.

The 29-year-old former France international joined West Ham in 2021 after playing for Chelsea and Everton.

He won the top-flight UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in 2021 and the third-tier UEFA Europa Conference League with West Ham in June.

Zouma also helped Chelsea win the English title twice in 2015 and 2017.
